In my classroom my students learn about the environment and the impact that humans have on the environment. This photo is a good representation of the harmful effects that pollution has on the environment. I would use this photo to have students brainstorm the possible ways that something like this could get cleaned up. I would also have them use this photo to create a blog posting or a poster for the school to create awareness for the problem that is created when people make harmful choices with their trash.
